Sage XRT to ERP Data Transfer

Driven by a commitment to enhance financial data accuracy and operational efficiency, I proactively identified and resolved a critical data integration challenge between our established Sage XRT system and the core ERP platform. This involved the end-to-end development and implementation of a multi-version application built using ASP.NET (C#) and Entity Framework 6. This application was specifically designed for the seamless transfer of complex accounting entries, specifically commissions, VAT (Value Added Tax), and bank charges (agios). My approach encompassed a thorough understanding of both systems’ data architecture and the nuances of relevant accounting principles. Leveraging the capabilities of ASP.NET for the web interface and Entity Framework 6 for robust data access and management, I engineered a reliable and automated solution that eliminated manual data input, significantly minimizing the potential for errors and liberating valuable time for the finance team to concentrate on strategic financial analysis. The successful deployment of this application not only streamlined critical month-end closing procedures and enhanced the reliability of our financial reporting but also provided more accurate data for informed business decision-making across the organization.
