General Ledger Transformer

I designed and implemented a web application that establishes a critical data bridge between Sage X3 and Sage XRT systems. This application automates the generation of the auxiliary general ledger from the Sage X3 database, exporting it into a standardized TXT file format. This file is then utilized within Sage XRT to facilitate and streamline the monthly accounting reconciliation process.

The application significantly enhances the efficiency and accuracy of the reconciliation process by:

• Automating data extraction: Eliminating the need for manual data entry and reducing the risk of human error.

• Ensuring data consistency: Guaranteeing that the data transferred between systems is accurate and reliable.

• Streamlining workflows: Accelerating the reconciliation process, allowing accounting teams to focus on higher-value tasks.

This solution was crucial in improving the speed and reliability of our month-end closing procedures. The application was developed using ASP.NET and SQL Server, demonstrating my ability to work with web technologies and database integration.
