Led the development of a comprehensive supplier commitment management application, revolutionizing our approach to invoice processing and payment. This application establishes a seamless and automated workflow, deeply integrated with our existing Sage XRT database, to manage the entire lifecycle of supplier obligations. The system meticulously captures all essential invoice details, ensuring data integrity and accuracy from the outset. A key feature is the real-time generation and transmission of initial payment forecasts to Sage XRT immediately upon invoice creation, providing critical early insights into future cash outflows. Furthermore, I integrated a flexible, multi-currency payment module, empowering users to efficiently execute payments for individual or multiple invoices in any required currency. Crucially, to maintain unparalleled accuracy in our treasury records, the application automates the update of Sage XRT following payment validation. This involves the removal of the original invoice record and the simultaneous creation of a corresponding “payment issued” transaction within XRT. This ensures that our financial systems reflect the most current and precise cash flow position. This application significantly reduced manual reconciliation efforts, minimized the risk of discrepancies, and provided the finance team with a powerful tool for proactive cash flow management. The application was developed using ASP.NET, Entity Framework, SQL Server, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
